Hi everyone, I have no idea what happened to March o_o
The truth is I haven’t opened Substack in a month even though there were a few things I had planned to do… Everything has just been happening all at once! Things have been very difficult for a number of reasons. But I’m still here, and in the piles of bad things I’ve been dealing with, there have been so many good and beautiful things keeping me afloat - care from my community, sharing art, eating good food, and so much love I could burst.
I love you all, and thank you for being here with me ♡
(Interested in helping with the bad times? I have a tip jar here.)
clown alley 🤡
I plan on sending out a totally separate newsletter about Clown Alley; there is so much I want to say! There was no way I could have predicted the response, and I am still feeling so humbled and loved that so many people wanted to share this time and their art alongside me.

So, what’s next? I do have plans, but they are very small and fragile right now, so you’ll have to wait. I do feel confident enough to say that Clown Alley will return, and I hope you will want to visit again with me :o)
april events
In the meantime, there are plenty of things I’ll be up to in the next couple months! I’m very excited to get back out there and to bring my art to so many new places.
This month, you will be able to find me at South Bend Zine Fest on April 26th, at Lang Lab in South Bend. This is my first zine fest, and I’ve been hard at work getting some fun things together. It’s been a nice reason to push myself to get back into zine making, which I haven’t done with much seriousness since I was a teenager. I’ve got a bunch of minizines that I really enjoyed making and I’m going to have at least one poetry zine for sale/trade, which is a little scary because I so rarely share my poetry.
I’ll also be up in Grand Rapids on April 27th at the BPP Queer Art Mart at the Fulton Street Market. This is my first queer specific market AND my first time taking my art up to Grand Rapids so it’s pretty exciting.
girl scout cookies
Some of you may know my amazing kiddo is in her first year of Girl Scouts as a junior, and she is selling cookies! She has made it halfway to her big goal, and I am so proud of her. If you would like cookies, you have until April 12th to order from her. Locals can save on shipping by having us deliver them to you!

I don’t have much more to update y’all on, unfortunately. The past few weeks have been nothing by preparations for Clown Alley and I haven’t had a lot of time to work on actual art. I am very excited to get back into the studio, I feel a bit unbalanced not having much time to just create things and play. I’ve got so many ideas and so many things I want to do and make, and I can’t wait to share them with everyone 🌻
